Introduction

Water Resources Agency is responsible for the sand and gravel management of Taiwan's central rivers. In order to be able to effectively and timely grasp the overall progress of the dredging project and the implementation of the results, it uses the project life cycle as the framework to introduce information, mobile and automated management mechanisms.

And through various digital technologies on the Internet, a digital management model is adopted for dredging operations. Relevant departments such as Water Resources Agency, River Management Office, Water Resources Office, county and city governments can obtain the latest dredging data of the dredging work area in real time through the dredging management system, achieving real-time grasp of the dredging operation status through the Internet, and improve the efficiency of dredging business execution.

Project performance and benefits

The dredging management system is a three-tiered structure consisting of the dredging area, the executive agency, and Water Resources Agency. The data exchange mechanism between the dredging area and the water conservancy department is established through the Web Service. Water Resources Agency and the dredging executive agencies through the daily dredging progress can be mastered by means of real-time monitoring and statistics to achieve comprehensive management of multiple dredging areas and real-time control of the status of the dredging areas.

In addition, develop project management blueprints and establish dredging project life cycle management in project management manner, including nine stages from initiation, planning, design, contracting, preparation, peripheral equipment construction, material discharge construction and monitoring, completion acceptance to final calculation master the management and implementation of the dredging plan at each stage.

Moreover, the vertical management of dredging operations, the horizontal resource sharing mechanism is also used to open and share dredging information, including access to the sand and gravel vehicle registration data of Directorate General of Highways, earth and rock auction information and dredging volume execution statistics, etc., to achieve dredging information disclosure and the goal of administrative transparency.
